We have also seen an insurgence of people heading to big EDM festivals, where people unite under a common beat and immerse themselves in the music.
With more and more festivals to choose from, we have complied of list of our Top 10 favorite EDM festivals worldwide.
1.TOMORROW LAND

Why we chose this festival: Tomorrow Land is an incredible fantasyland universe. It has an undisputed reputation of being the most looked forward to event of the year, and tickets sell out within minutes of their release. The festival is a totally immersive experience, with a whopping 16 stages and amazingly intricately decorated grounds.
2.SHAMBHALA

Why we chose this festival: Shambhala is the largest and longest running electronic music festival in Canada. This festival won “Best Large Event” in 2011 and 2012. It boasts six stages based on a 500-acre working farm, with the Salmo River running right through the middle. This huge event is put on without sponsorship, as it is an entirely volunteer-run project!
3.ELECTRIC DAISY CARNIVAL

Why we chose this festival: Electric Daisy Carnival is the largest electronic music festival in North America, with over 300,000 attendees on average. It has the largest main stage area in the entire world! The partying does not stop at EDC, as you dance through from dusk ‘til dawn kept awake by the lights, lasers and incredible line-up.
4.SUNBURN

Why we chose this festival: This festival is a huge celebration of music, art and culture. It is the premier electronic music event in India. Sunburn is hosted at a beachside venue, with some of the biggest names in the industry performing on beautifully designed stages.
5.ULTRA

Why we chose this festival: Ultra is the biggest music festival in the US because it also steams live to those who cannot attend. It is held during the annual Winter Music Conference, which hosts events with every DJ around the world, and so the huge media coverage encourages the world’s best DJS to come and debut their new music in Miami.
6.STEREOSONIC

Why we chose this festival: Stereosonic tours around Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane. Despite being only a few years old, it is already a groundbreaking music festival, outlandish and larger than life with deluxe stages and big line-ups.

Why we chose this festival: One of the main draws to Outlook festival is the amazing location. Party in an abandoned fort, ancient tunnel, moat, ruins, on a beach or you can even join in a number of boat parties featuring artists from the festival. If you are looking to incorporate a holiday with a dance festival, Outlook is the perfect place to be.
8.MYSTERYLAND

Why we chose this festival: Mysteryland is the longest running EDM festival in the world! It has been running for over twenty years, and is still going strong. 9.GLOBAL GATHERING

Why we chose this festival: Global Gathering unites dance fans across Europe to celebrate their love of music. It attracted more than a quarter of a million people last year, and even won the praise of DJ Armin Van Buuren who said the Global Gathering is ‘one of the essential festivals of the world’.
